Admissions Information

No student will be refused admittance because of race, sex, creed, or national origin.

Admission and readmission to Immaculate Conception School are on an annual school year basis.

Students are admitted to Immaculate Conception School in the following order of priority:

First – Catholic children of families registered as parishioners at Immaculate Conception Parish.

Second – Siblings of students currently enrolled in Immaculate Conception School.

Third – Students of other faiths.

In keeping with the philosophy of Immaculate Conception School, each student will participate in all religion classes and religious services.

Admission is finalized after:

  1. Attendance at an Application Meeting
  2. Submission of all required records (birth certificate, immunization records, and all prior school records/test results). All forms must be completed.
  3. Payment of Registration Fee

Children entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old by September 30. All incoming Kindergarten students will be given the “Early Prevention of School Failure” screening to determine level or readiness. In the event that the child misses early screening, the child will be evaluated in the fall. Children who are 6 years old are eligible to enter first grade provided they pass the screening test for Grade 1.

In cases of child custody, a certified copy of the entire court order stating who has custody of the child is to be sent to the office.

Regarding parent conferences in all custody situations: It is preferred and will be the general procedure that one conference appointment be scheduled “jointly” if both parents wish to be present. It is assumed that parents are able to set aside differences and to come together on behalf of their child for this time. A joint conference further insures that both parents are given the same information at the same time, therefore avoiding misunderstanding and/or misinterpretation.

Finance

Tuition is determined annually by an established financial process. Several options are offered for the payment of tuition. A $20 fee will be charged for checks returned for insufficient funds. Afterwards only cash or money orders will be accepted for payments.

Non-Payment Policy
Payment plans are reviewed on a regular basis. If agreed-upon plans are not being followed, the administration will exercise its option to withhold academic records and report cards. If tuition and fees are not current at the close of any quarter and payments pursuant to the plan are not current, the student will be withdrawn at the end of that quarter for enrollment in another school with the beginning of the following quarter.

Tuition is charged on a pro-rated basis for the time the student is in school.

Enrollment to the school may be renewed each year. Acceptance is contingent upon attendance/tardy record, all financial obligations being met, evidence of acceptable academics, acceptable conduct as measured by the school’s Code of Conduct, and parental involvement in the life of the school and support of school policies.

The administration reserves the right in some cases not to invite re-enrollment. This would include but not be limited to instances of absence and tardiness, extreme and unresolved discipline problems, and/or the inability of the school to provide appropriate educational programs for the student.

Registration fees are non-refundable.

Tuition costs are set on a yearly basis and must be kept current. There will be a late fee assessed when payments are not made on schedule. This information will be clearly defined each year when contracts are signed.

Students will be charged for the replacement or repair of textbooks that are lost or damaged beyond normal use. Information regarding charges for overdue, damaged, or lost library books is available in the school library.
